       Farm Vacation Information

**( Opening soon )**

The Rosefield is fairly new as a Farm Vacation; however we feel we offer old time hospitality. The farm house was built in 1846 with major additions in 1929 and 1983. We have only two family suite available.

Farm Vacation on a working Fiber Farm

Enjoy an exciting vacation in one of our family suites on a working fiber farm. Wake up to a bright, spring morning and the welcome of our pet rooster, Aflac. After a hearty farm breakfast, take a long nature walk and relax. Or, if you choose to further enjoy the farm experience, we'll show you how to groom a bunny or help with the evening chores. Then sit and knit or spin to your hearts's content, or end the day relaxing and watching a blazing, red sunset. For those who would to see the sights, our farm is located in Historic Washington County, Pennsylvania, with many interesting and educational sites to visit. We can help direct you to areas of interest. Some of the sites include Meadowcroft Museum, with the Rock Shelter, The Trolley Museum, Olgebay Park and Zoo, or a Wild Things game. For wine lovers, "Your Country Wine Store" has over 100 varieties to taste and purchase.

The air conditioned one bedroom suite (a queen size bed) has a living-room with a sofa sleeper, a small equipped kitchen and a private bath with a tub/shower. The kitchen offers a microwave, toaster, coffee pot, stove and refrigerator as well as plates, glassware, and an assortment of pots and pans. The TV has a satellite dish hook-up and a VCR, with an extensive library of videos.  There is a private entrance off the back porch.

The suite is perfect for a couple looking for a getaway or a family with one or two small children.

At this time breakfast is served in the country kitchen in front of the rebuilt fireplace. Special diet needs are taken into consideration.

While you are here you can visit with the animals, listen to the bray of the donkeys, collect eggs, feed the bunnies or even try your hand at fishing. You can hike or just relax and listen to the crow of the rooster.

If you are interested we can try to schedule classes in spinning, knitting, crocheting, and/or basket-weaving if time allows and for an additional fee.
